The Elevate Story

Hello, reader! Before launching Elevate Vacation Homes, I was just a middle school teacher in San Diego. On the side, I invested in real estate, and began to work with a few clients here and there, mostly just friends. What started out as a side-hustle, quickly became my full-time business. I knew that if I went all in, I had a chance at creating something amazing.
My teaching experience gave me the ability to communicate clearly, manage expectations, stay calm under pressure, and solve problems in real time—skills that translated naturally into hospitality and operations. Starting with my own properties and a few friend's homes as a "solo-preneur", required around the clock answering of guest messages, coordinating cleanings, and learning the short-term rental business through hands-on experience. Each client was earned through trust, performance, and referrals. Over time, systems replaced the guesswork: standardized processes, vetted vendors, financial tracking, and owner-first actions that resulted into the fully operational business you see now.
Today, Elevate Vacation Homes manages over 50 properties, but the foundation remains the same—high standards, accountability, and relationships built on transparency. What began as a leap from the classroom has grown into a scalable, professional management company, proving that disciplined execution and consistency can turn just a few clients
into a thriving portfolio.
